Forres Sandle Manor has a long and proud association with military families.
As such, we can offer a very supportive environment for serving families. House parents and matrons are experienced in supporting military children throughout their time at the School. Help is given to boarders to keep in touch with loved ones wherever they might be in the world, provide a listening ear, advice and support and are always on hand round-the-clock…and even a hug when it is needed!
Supporting Armed Forces (FSM Troopers) Group
A good number of our boarders are from military families, so we run a Supporting Active Service group ‘FSM Troopers’ which provides additional support for children when a parent is away on deployment. The weekly meetings allow children in similar situations to share their feelings, learn from each other (especially the older children assisting the younger), and explore practical ways to help in the weeks and months ahead.
