A Welcoming Admissions Process
We pride ourselves on being a mixed-ability school, valuing the diversity and richness it brings to our learning community. Because of this, we do not require a formal entrance examination. Instead, we invite prospective pupils to join us for a taster day (and night, if boarding), offering them the chance to experience life at FSM firsthand.
- During the taster day, your child will participate in an English and Maths assessment to help us understand their current academic level and ensure they will thrive in our curriculum.
- For Pre Prep pupils, informal, in-class assessments are carried out by the teacher.
- Your child will also meet their future classmates, easing their transition by helping them make friends before their first day.
If additional learning support is required, we’ll arrange a meeting with our SEN department to ensure everything is in place for a smooth start.
