The year 2020 was the inspiration behind this term’s Theme Night – Pairs! As usual, the children excelled in their imaginative costumes from Genie and the Lamp, King and Queen, Mario and Luigi to the 118 118 men!
After a tasty supper of famous food combinations (curry and rice, sausage and mash, chicken and chips, all followed by jelly and ice cream), the children raced around in a ‘pair’ to complete a series of ‘pair’ activities – karaoke duets, egg and spoon races, ‘pair’ up the socks race, decorate a ‘pair’ of pants, hunt the other half of the pair treasure hunt, giant snap and a doubles badminton tournament were amongst those on offer. Congratulations to Ollie and Max S who were announced as the winners of the badminton and to ‘the Gareths’ and Charlie and Max W who both collected all 13 ‘pear’ stickers having completed all 13 ‘pair’ activities!
The boarders gathered in the DHH at 8pm for ‘pairs’ tuck before the pants were modelled, such fun! The evening concluded with the whole boarding house line dancing and a spot of Just Dance, all led by Mr McEwan! It was the perfect end to a really super evening with the hall full of happy, smiley boarders and staff, our boarding family.
We look forward our next Theme Night before too long!
