‘I used to think walking in the forest was boring but now I can see texture, shape and patterns I really like it’, so said one of the young photographers on Saturday’s trip through the New Forest. Teaching children to absorb the world around them, to observe the beauty of their world and to be in the moment is a pretty valuable life lesson and this is what the camera and the photography sessions bring out in the children. They are remarkably creative and resourceful and we had a fantastic day out in the New Forest with one of our favourite photographers, Robyn and her son.
…and now to the competition…even though it is entirely subjective and as long as the children enjoy the experience, everyone is a winner. However, the house photography competition is a popular, annual affair and hopefully it encourages more children to observe the world around them.
