Hampton Court Palace – A Royal Learning Experience
Recently, our Year 2 and Year 7 students embarked on an unforgettable journey to Hampton Court Palace, where history truly came to life!
For Year 2, the visit was the perfect continuation of their studies on the Tudor era. Walking through the grand halls and exploring the opulent rooms, they gained a deeper understanding of the fascinating lives of Tudor kings and queens. The children even had the chance to step into the shoes of young courtiers, participating in interactive activities that brought the past to life.
Hampton Court – Tudor Times
Meanwhile, our Year 7s have learned about the significance of power and religion during Tudor times. Before half term, they thoroughly enjoyed exploring the stunning architecture and collections of Hampton Court Palace and gaining a real sense of the political and religious importance of such an iconic place – as well as how Henry VIII would have lived
Both groups also had the chance to explore the beautiful gardens and labyrinths of the palace, making for a day of history, exploration, and fun.
This trip was an invaluable experience, helping our students connect with history in a meaningful and memorable way. We look forward to more educational adventures in the future!
