Guinness World Record Holders - Group 2

Exciting news filled the air during this morning’s assembly as we unveiled a remarkable achievement—FSM is now officially a Guinness World Record holder!

Our amazing Year 6 and Year 7 pupils played a key role in breaking the record for the world’s largest-ever poetry lesson. Along with 43,516 other students worldwide, they participated in this monumental event, showcasing their creativity and love for poetry.

Mrs. Gee, our Head of English, expressed her pride:

“I am delighted that Year 6 and Year 7 pupils at FSM have contributed to a Guinness World Record for the largest poetry lesson across multiple venues. 43,516 pupils helped to break this record, and the finished poem is a remarkable, global effort. Our love for poetry is strong here at FSM, and giving pupils meaningful and special opportunities to develop their journey as writers is important.”

This achievement highlights our school’s dedication to fostering creativity and providing unique opportunities for our students. The record-breaking poem stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and the shared joy of writing.

Congratulations to everyone who took part—your efforts have truly made history!
