Yesterday afternoon, we had the pleasure of hosting our highly anticipated Big House Performance Competition, a thrilling start to our first ‘Gold’ house competition of the academic year. Pupils from Year 3 and above showcased their immense creativity and teamwork in this two-day challenge, filled with festive fun and incredible performances. It was a true celebration of school spirit, talent, and the holiday season!
A Packed Schedule of Fun and Creativity
The competition was packed with a wide array of activities, each designed to test the pupils’ talents and bring out their inner performers. One of the highlights was the Drama challenge, where each House presented their own unique interpretation of A Christmas Carol. From heartfelt performances to fun twists, the children truly brought the classic holiday tale to life in their own imaginative ways.
But that wasn’t all! The competition also featured a Singing and Dance segment, where every House performed festive songs and dance routines, spreading Christmas cheer with each step and note. The energy in the room was infectious, as each group gave it their all to bring some holiday magic to the stage.
In addition to the performances, there were a few more fun-filled challenges to test the Houses’ festive spirit. Pupils worked together to decorate their House Christmas Tree and took part in a Christmas cookie-making competition, bringing out their inner chefs and decorators to create mouth-watering treats and beautifully decorated trees.
A Spectacular Show for Parents
The competition culminated in a spectacular performance for parents, who were treated to an unforgettable afternoon of creativity, teamwork, and festive cheer. The performances were nothing short of impressive, with each House showcasing their passion and dedication. It was clear that every pupil had put in their best effort, and the sense of camaraderie and House spirit was palpable throughout the event.
