Little Shop of Horrors

This year’s Senior Production at Forres Sandle Manor School was nothing short of spectacular, as students brought the iconic Little Shop of Horrors to life on stage. With vibrant performances, catchy tunes, and a brilliantly spooky storyline, it was a morning to remember for everyone involved.

But what made this performance even more special was the chance to share it with the next generation of potential drama stars. We were delighted to welcome children from Fordingbridge Junior School for a special matinee performance. The excitement in the air was palpable as our students performed for an eager young audience, who were captivated by Audrey II, the man-eating plant, and the talented cast who brought the quirky characters to life.

Little Shop of Horrors Fordingbridge Juniors Performance

At Forres Sandle Manor, we’re passionate about not just fostering talent within our own school but also giving back to the wider community. By working with local schools like Fordingbridge Junior, we hope to inspire future generations of performers, musicians, and creatives. Who knows? There could be a future Drama Scholar or West End star in that audience, drawn to the magic of theatre from this very show!

We are so proud of all the students involved in the production and grateful to everyone who supported us along the way. Here’s to more performances that bring us all together and spark the imaginations of young minds!

Little Shop of Horrors - Dance

Synopsis

Seymour Krelborn, a shy and down-on-his-luck florist’s assistant, stumbles upon a mysterious and exotic plant, which he names “Audrey II” after his kind-hearted co-worker, Audrey, on whom he has a secret crush. At first, Audrey II seems like the key to turning Seymour’s fortunes around, drawing customers and fame to the struggling flower shop.

But Seymour soon discovers that Audrey II has some unusual traits: a soulful voice, a sharp tongue, and an insatiable appetite for blood! As the plant grows bigger and more demanding, it tempts Seymour with promises of wealth and success—at a price. When Seymour learns of Audrey II’s sinister, otherworldly origins and plans for global domination, he faces a heart–
pounding choice: can he stop the plant and save the world, or will he give in to its deadly desires?
