Child-Led Learning in Practice
Danny absolutely loves the story of ‘The Gingerbread Man‘. Following on from his interests today. We have been very busy in the nursery, engaging in lots of gingerbread activities.
The children listened to the story and joined in with the repeated frames, followed by weighing and measuring ingredients whilst cooking their gingerbread men biscuits for their snack.
Following this, they practised their simple counting and number recognition whilst they matched the correct number of buttons to the given number.
Learning
Alongside this, some of the children were also having great fun rolling out play dough to create gingerbread men and also baking gingerbread men in the mud kitchen outside.
