Lockdowns and COVID restrictions have meant our boarders have been based on site for their weekend adventures for many months now but, at long last, it was time to board the minibus and venture off site!
Our destination on Sunday was the sandpit on the edge of Rockford Common in the beautiful New Forest, just a short drive from FSM. The boarders thankfully escaped the rain and had a brilliant time playing in the sandpit, running down the hill, paddling in the stream, going on the rope swing and of course burying each other in sand.
There was lots of extra washing for the Matrons when we returned with sandy clothes and a few soggy bottoms from the stream but the big beaming smiles on the children’s faces more than made up for it. It was great to get out and about again!
