FSM Parent Jay Clibery and members of the RBL Tidworth (serving soldiers and veterans) will participate in their annual fundraising event to support Walking With The Wounded on 12-14 December 2024. This year will see them complete their fourth successive year raising funds for a great charity close to Jay’s heart, having served for over 22 years.

Jay says:
 
This year’s event will be linked to the 80th anniversary of D-Day, which we will 3 teams of 5, to complete the following challenge; 51-mile walk – distance between Tidworth and the Historic dockyard,  Portsmouth which was one of the main departure points on D-Day.  197km row – Distance between the Historic dockyard and Sword Beach. 1092km cycle – Distance between Sword Beach and Hamburg, where the last notable battle between British and German troops took place between April – May 1945.

Providing support for veterans who need it the most

At Walking With The Wounded, we empower veterans by reigniting their sense of purpose, enabling them to make a positive contribution to their communities and lead independent lives.

Whether mentally, physically or socially wounded we support ex-service personnel and their families most in need. We offer personalised employment supportmental health and well-being support, and support care coordination to help veterans who are struggling after military service.
