It may only have lasted 27.5 hours but, my goodness, this year’s Grand Guide Adventure was packed with plenty of activity!
The Guides Camp 2024 Activities
From the Romsey Rapids for swimming, crazy golf (Miss N pipped Unathi to the winning post), pitching tents, campfire cooking, the essential s’mores & campfire entertainment provided by the girls, with a few old-fashioned campfire songs from Miss N & Mrs J thrown in for good measure.
There was Minimal sleep, then up for a healthy (ish) breakfast, Go Ape, a picnic lunch, back for baking (yum!), washing up, badge work, pebble-painting, striking camp… lots of laughter & memory-making. Several young (& not so young) ladies were ready for sleep after all that.
There were fears met head-on, a hole in a tent, tent pegs missing, pesky fires that wouldn’t light, and so much smoke we all smelled like bonfires, but camaraderie, teamwork, and smiles galore. What a weekend! Miss North is now ready for a rest – but not until she has ordered all the Guide badges that have just been earned…
A massive thank you to Miss North for arranging it all and a huge thanks to the wonderful Mrs Jarvis for coming back to FSM to join us on this Adventure!
