Our Year 6 Geographers had a spectacular field trip to the coast recently. Standing on the cliff top, they had a spectacular view of both Barton and Highcliffe beaches, and it was clear to see the difference that the sea defences make to the coastline.

Year 6 Coast Trip

Field Trip to the Coast

The water was so blue, and the waves were crashing against the rocks, making for a mesmerising sight. They were all in awe of nature’s beauty and the ocean’s power. The sun shone brightly, and it was a perfect day for a field trip. Furthermore, we were able to learn about the various sea defences and the impact that they have on the environment.

We were also made aware of the importance of the preservation and conservation of our coasts. To top it all off, they all finished with ice cream, making for a truly unforgettable day!

Mr Humphries said, ‘We would like to extend a special thank you to Miss North for her help and guidance throughout the day. It was truly a memorable experience that our Year 6 Geographers will never forget!’
