After fuelling up by stopping for pizza and chips in the Fordingbridge kebab shop, our noisy crew of Year 6 Adventurers set off under a beautiful starry sky.
Armed with glow sticks and star gazing apps, the children laughed and joked their way together with the occasional stop-off to stack stones or leap over streams.
The night walk was made possible with the help of Mr McEwan and Mr Hancock, who kindly gave up their evening off to accompany us. The children had a fantastic time, and we are very grateful to the teachers for their help.
A Memorable Experience
It was a truly memorable experience. The night sky was filled with stars, and the glow of the glow sticks was the perfect accompaniment for our walk.
The children were able to explore the countryside in a new way and had a wonderful time seeing the stars, seeing if they could spot animals, and learning about the different constellations.
Upon returning to school, the children were buzzing with excitement and memories of the night walk. We can’t wait to go on another night walk adventure soon!
