Forres Sandle Manor Year 8 pupils once again had huge success in their Common Entrance exams, leading to all pupils going to their first-choice senior schools in September.
The exams saw a large number of pupils achieving A grades in core subjects such as English and maths. Headmaster, Mr Jody Wells, said: “We’re very proud of all our pupils. The results are testament to the hard work that they put in.”
A good number of the year were awarded scholarships and / or bursaries from a wide variety of schools in the areas of music, sport, drama and all-round achievement. Our pupils have also secured a William Morris Award from Malborough, a Roxburgh Scholarship from Stowe and the Jolie Brise All Rounder Boarding Award from Dauntsey’s. Pupil Alice was also made an Honorary CE Scholar in recognition of being one of Stowe’s top 15 CE candidates.
Following the FSM ethos that we support pupils to go to the right senior school for them, this year they leave us to go onto: Stowe, Marlborough, King’s Taunton, Dauntsey’s, Hampshire Collegiate School, King’s Bruton, Clayesmore, Sherborne, Godolphin, Milton Abbey, Cheltenham College and Uppingham.
